Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation’s (LICSF) mission is to save children from child predators and serious accidental injuries in a non-threatening, kid-friendly way. Our unique early childhood prevention programs have become the leader in this field and continue to grow and save children.

Teaching and safety professionals agree that preventive education such as Lil’ Iguana is the most powerful and effective tool we can give our children. Because parents and caretakers are not always around, children need to have the skills to protect themselves in real-life situations.

Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Program has shown that prevention works. Early on, people from our audiences stepped forward not only to praise our programs, but to volunteer their time, money and efforts to support the expansion of the Lil’ Iguana programs. They quickly recognized that this was not just another band-aid, but a powerful and effective cure for the very real threats facing our young children today.

We tell ourselves that these tragic events will only happen to other families. If we leave our children unprepared to face these problems, we are letting them down. We need to do more. Their lives depend on it.

LICSF’s approach allows a child to absorb and retain important safety messages. LICSF utilizes our interactive stage shows and programs to teach children how to:

• Feel comfortable bringing their concerns to parents, caretakers, and teachers.

  • Excited by safety messages set to song and dance.
  • Engaged by interactive role-playing in Lil’ Iguana stories.

  Kids feel comfortable because:
  • They learn about child predator safety alongside everyday safety topics.
  • They enjoy taking an active role in their own safety.
