Both members of the Anderstall Artworks team trace their artistic interests back to grade school and high school where Malori concentrated on print making and Joe on cartooning and oil painting, amongst many other arts. Their formal training started at McIntosh College in Dover, New Hampshire, where they both met while studying for their AS in Visual Communications/ Graphic Design. Upon graduation, they decided to delve into the craft world, specifically glass and jewelry. They then moved to Vermont and started working at Simon Pearce Glass and Pottery to get some training and insight into craft production.

Joe worked at Simon Pearce in the glass production field from the spring of 2004 until the fall of 2005, learning and developing his glass skills, while also setting up a lampwork glass studio at their home.

Malori worked at Simon Pearce from the spring of 2005 until the winter of 2006, as a potter’s assistant, in the pottery field. She trained in glaze production, hand painting and finishing techniques.

While they were living and working in Vermont, they started gathering materials and equipment to establish their own production. Joe started making lampworked borosilicate glass pieces and Malori began crafting her first jewelry.

Upon leaving Simon Pearce, they decided to take the next step, and started moving towards having their own studio and shop. They're currently working towards that goal in Bow, New Hampshire, Joe’s hometown.

They have been in Bow since the spring of 2006, and have been working on developing their company since then. Joe currently is full-time glassblower. Malori is a nanny for a local family in New Hampshire. The rest of their hours are spent making product, generating clientelle, and establishing Anderstall Artworks.

Anderstall Artworks creates hand-crafted glass and jewelry. All pieces are designed and created by Anderstall. They are self-motivated, multi-talented artists. Though glass and jewelry are their main focus, they will eventually mature in many other disciplines, enhancing the growth of the company, such as printmaking, painting, cartoon design, all aspects of graphic design, and much more.

Malori creates beaded and metal worked jewelry, incorporating lamp worked glass pieces in her designs. She creates necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, etc., and sets of all combinations.

She also inputs in some design aspects of Joe’s lamp worked and hand blown pieces, as well as aiding in small production when necessary. She is always in the process of learning the elements of the glass, as eventually she will be aiding Joe in more design and production work.

Joe creates hand blown off-hand glass and lamp worked borosilicate glass. With his off-hand glass, he creates his larger pieces, such as paperweights, vases, bowls, ornaments, etc. With the borosilicate glass comes his smaller pieces, such as pendants, beads, marbles, ornaments and sculptures. He also aids in Malori’s design processes as well.

Anderstall Artworks was established to allow them to create, showcase and sell all of their artworks. Their goal is to support the local arts community and provide various opportunities for artists and art-lovers alike. They are driven by their will to succeed, their love for art, and their passion to bring their artwork to every element of life.
